I had an issue on the second floor bathroom of one of my properties which had been vacant for quite some time. I did not know the extent until bees (yellow jackets) were somehow entering the bathroom.
I called the Bee Hunter from an add on the internet and he actually responded within a half- hour.. and then came to the property later that afternoon to access the situation. He was meticulous in keeping contact with me as to the time he would be available and arrive…in other words “no guessing or waiting!” and in the course of the next few days he followed through on “EVERYTHING” that he said.
I really liked his presence and professionalism and felt instinctively that this was a contractor I could trust. He is a local company with a nice neat truck, a very professional manner and appearance and he kindly and safely wore a mask. He gave me a day that he would be out and texted me that day so that I knew exactly when he was coming. The price was “very” fair considering the second-floor access was difficult because of the condition of the premises and the fact that he had to reach outside the 2nd floor window which to me looked pretty scary.
And just to add, he worked “very neatly” so ladies who are worried about contractors who are sometimes not so neat to most times down-right messy when entering your home…this is someone who has all those bases neatly covered!
An now I am happy that my bees are in a better place!

I heard a ticking noise in the bedroom wall and ceiling. When I looked outside I saw some bees flying around the gutter outside that room. I called The Bee Hunter and he got right back to me. Jim came the next day with Eric, his helper. He checked out the bees and said they were yellow jackets. He checked the walls inside and located the nest. Jim was able to go into the attic to access the walls, spray, and remove the nest. He was prompt, polite, and professional! I liked that his work is guaranteed. I made a frantic call one evening to Jim after realizing that I had 3 yellow jacket nests around my house—one in the yard, one in the wall next to the front door that reached to the second floor, and one inside the walls on the third floor. We had a soccer ball sized hornet nest hanging from the soffit under our gutter and we wanted it gone. After a Google search, I chose Jim “The Bee Hunter” because of his 30+ years of experience removing bees and the abundance of A+ reviews he has received. When he arrived, he was a super nice guy and explained the entire process and all the steps he would take in advance. Then he sat down on the floor of our front porch where our youngest pup immediately got into his lap and stayed there. I think she would have gone home with him. After spending time with her, he went to work, put on his bee suit and climbed onto the porch roof where he sprayed and removed the nest within 20 minutes. He then applied another spray that would prevent the hornets from building a new nest on the same spot. Quick and very professional job!! Yellow jackets formed a nest under our siding and inside our walls. He was able to locate the placing of the nest within the wall prior to cutting through the drywall (mitigating damage). He was able to kill the yellow jackets, remove eggs and larvae, then reseal the drywall.

We thought we had a large bees nest behind our siding on the back of our house. The area was very high up and not easily accessible. The Bee Hunter came and assessed the issue and located the bees nest fairly quickly. It was NOT where we thought it was. It was actually inside the house between the floors. Apparently, bees were coming in through a tiny crack in the mortar between the bricks. He had to drill holes into the ceiling to spray bee killer in there. Then he cut a piece of the ceiling out and removed the actual nest....which was huge! He also cleaned up every bit of dust as well as dead bees. We had lingering bees for a while, and he came back to assess the issue again to make sure that he got all of the nest. He did get all of the nest the first time, but since it was such a large nest it took longer than expected for us to stop seeing bees.

While watering flowers in our courtyard one late afternoon, I obviously disturbed an in-ground yellow jacket nest. The next thing I knew I was stung multiple times The bees pursued me, stinging as I ran some 80 feet from the nest. After some fast quick first aid I instructed my family members to find someone who specializes in bees, hornets, etc. My wife found The Bee Hunter while I was taking Benadryl and scrubbing my stings, I called his number and I got Jim (The Bee Hunter) - not an answering service or a recording.
I told him what happened and he said he was in close proximity to my area and would try to get to my home before dark (Which he did.).
When I showed the nest's location he identified the species and gave a quick background on this type of yellow jacket. He told me what he was going to do, step by step, before he did it.
I then left the area until they were done, for my own safety. At that time he showed me what he had found. The nest was larger than I had even imagined. The yellow jackets had their own Tora Bora installation in there. Jim told me what to expect in the coming week around the nest site. He instructed me to call him if they were buzzing around the nest site after one week. They weren't.
Jim showed up in a very professionally maintained vehicle with graphics consistent with his company's identity. I was impressed with him and with his assistant who looked like he just graduated from Princeton.

Overall Experience:

I have called people to perform work and service the property all my life (and that's a long time) and I must say many were great, but "The Bee Hunter" was the all time best, Jim knows his work. He appears to get into the mind of the bee (if it has one). Basically he is my idea of the consummate professional. "The Bee Hunter" is everything one can expect in a business. Jim came to take a look at our bee problem and ended up removing a very large yellow jacket nest that was located in the in the garage ceiling.
After he located the nest, he suited up and removed the nest by cutting into the corner of the ceiling. He then applied a powder that would prevent the bees from returning to the site He neatly sealed the hole and cleaned the area.

After he had removed the nest, he told us what to expect as the bees would be hovering for possibly a week or so looking for the nest. That didn't happen. We were set to put up new drywall in our hallway when we had yellow jackets start appearing a few at a time in our house daily. We did not know where they were coming from. So, for safety sake we cancelled the repairs & called The Bee Hunter, who had terrific reviews. First surprise! We got Jim & not an answering machine. We told him about our dilemma. He informed us that yellow jackets were active from noon to 4 PM & would be going in & out of their nest outdoors for pollen. He told us to check the outdoor perimeter of the house for activity. We found the troubled area & saw we were unable to deal with the matter ourselves, so we called Jim. Again we got Jim & not an answering machine. He was busy at another job at the time, but he said he could come out to do the work for us that afternoon if we wanted him. We said yes & true to his word. He was at our house quickly that afternoon. Because he was unable to address the problem from the outside, he was left with having to cut a small hole in the bathroom wall for the extermination & removal of the nest. He cleaned up & carried out the nest. So far our home is yellow jacket free. Thanks to the expert know how skills of Jim! Hope we stay bee free. But if not then he’s the man we call. I was experiencing a problem with bumblebees in my backyard. They were very aggressive and stung both my dog and me. Jim came out for our now-annual prevention treatment, which works like magic! We live in the hills of Sewickley in a heavily wooded area. Prior to meeting Jim, we had terrible problems with carpenter bees that literally destroyed a wooden mailbox and were drilling holes in our wooden deck, which we couldn't use for fear of the bees, wasps and hornets; we had a hornet's nest the size of basketball and two smaller ones; in-ground yellow jackets; and every type of wasp you can imagine, many of whom made their way INSIDE our house! The yellow jacket hives were inside the ground behind a rock retaining wall. Jim carefully removed each heavy stone in order to extract the hives. He scraped each stone clean before reconstructing the wall and swept up each bit of dirt from the sidewalk. He put up caution tape so pedestrians wouldn't get stung. In the past, he has also successfully removed hives from the wall of the home and a hole in the ground. These hives were really big and, after seeing them, it was clear to me that a can of spray from the local hardware store would never do the trick. It is well worth it to have Jim out and get it done right.

I called Jim on July 16, 2016 after finding a hornet nest in the awning of my bedroom. Jim made an effort and came the same day. The hornets were banging into the window and were very agitated. We have used Jim's services EVERY YEAR since 2008 when we had a very unexpected and very frighteningly large invasion of yellow jackets in the wall just above our front door. We 'happened upon' him, I think via the Yellow Pages at the time and what a blessing! He came almost immediately in response to our frantic call, quickly discovered the situation, and in the cleanest, most humane, and most professional way, got close to 7,000 yellow jackets out of the nests they had built in our wall! It was a scene from a scary movie to see the number of potential stingers dropping out of the wall. When it was all done, he left the house in the most pristine condition, nary a carcass to be found.

Jim removed an underground yellow jacket nest behind a retaining wall next to the driveway. It is a single width drive and the hive entrance was at head level on the passenger side if you parked in the driveway-very dangerous. I had tried to kill them with foaming spray twice unsuccessfully, so I called several exterminators and the ONLY one who answered said I needed the Bee Hunter and gave me his number- I called, he answered right away and said he could be there the NEXT day.

I called The Bee Hunter regarding a hornet's nest above my house. He gave me good advice to just leave it alone since it is out of the way and i can take it down in the winter when they are dormant. Thanks for good advice that also saved me $!

I had 2 nests of Ground Bees(Yellow Jackets) in the ground on the side of my house. They were a nuisance a we're stinging people. I called the Bee Hunter with my problem and he actually answered the phone which is a rarity these days. He was the as promised the next day.
